I am Azeezah Abdullah, executive director of Sunrise East Tutoring Service. I would like to invite you to come tour our office and see the exciting programs that we have to offer to you and your family.

Sunrise East is a “back-to-basic” tutoring service that focuses on reading, writing, and mathematics. Sunrise East is founded on five essential principles, and these key principles pertain to our dedication and commitment in providing each student with the best and most effective tools for academic success. The five principles are:

Our first and foremost priority is the well-being of each student. We believe every child is unique and possesses the potential to succeed. It’s that uniqueness and potential we, at Sunrise East want to enhance upon each of our student participants.

Sunrise East takes a holistic approach towards our students. We strongly assist each student to experience their own “paradigm shift”, the ability to recognize their own potential and growth through positive affirmations and academic guidance.

We will develop an environment conducive to learning through patience, nurturance, open-communication, guidance, exploration and encouragement. Our task is to support the work of the classroom teachers by working closely with students, their families, and schools to build learning environments whereas every student has the opportunity to perform to his/her full potential.

Successful tutoring means working with professionals that not only know the subject matter, but also are able to effectively teach, step-by-step, and if necessary, to adapt the content to individual students’ needs.

In closing, I encourage parent to become a positive catalyst in their child’s learning process, and to be encouraging and supportive.
